What is a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)?

A health reimbursement arrangement is an account funded by an employer that reimburses employees for certain out-of-pocket medical expenses.

 
 

How it Works

  1. An employer chooses the maximum amount to reimburse each employee for the year (one amount for 'single' and one amount for 'family');
  2. Beneflex makes the appropriate reimbursement as claims are submitted

Examples of Qualified Expenses

Depending on the employer's wishes, the following may be reimbursable through an HRA:

  • Copays
  • Deductibles
  • Prescription Costs
